Pete Wentz Explains Bronx Mowgli Name…Kinda

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz named the baby boy Bronx Mowgli. It is a standard fugly celebrity name, but Pete felt it necessary to explain his odd choice in names. He called up his home-slice, Ryan Seacrest, to chat about babies and hair product.

“The Jungle Book was something that me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s a cool name. We came up with the idea Bronx. We’ve been throwing [ideas] back and forth a while,” he says. “It’s kind of cool to just leave the narrative what it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever. And you’re like, you know what: I don’t think anyone really has the real story.”

Ummm. Ok. I bonded with my ho at “Olive Garden.” That doesn’t mean I am going to name my kid Tour of Italy. Moving on…Seacrest still thinks the name is joke and presses Pete Wentz further.

“No, no, no, it definitely is his name, but I don’t think anybody knows what the real story is of why or how.”

Then Wentz admitted he was a total wimp about her labor. Ashlee Simpson is trying to push a roast beef out her lady bits and he needed to be “taken care of.”

“Right before she went into labor, I was like, ‘Oh, my god, I think I’m having a heart attack,’ ” he says. “My heart started beating real fast. You see your wife is in all this pain. And I don’t know what’s happening right now. She took care of me and made sure I was okay and then went into labor. That’s why she’s a saint.”

You know he was pissed because she was hogging all the attention. He was probably all, “Bitch I will trump your labor thunder with a heart attack!”
