See More... President-elect Barack Obama has unveiled his national security team and named New York Senator Hillary Clinton the new Secretary of State.

Barack called Hillary a "dear friend" and said he would be proud to have her serve as Secretary of State.

Hillary was a close runner up to Obama as the Presidential nominee for the democratic party this year.

Former President Bill Clinton released statement regarding his wife's new role. "As an American, I am thankful that President-elect Barack Obama has asked Hillary to be Secretary of State and that she has accepted. As her husband, I am deeply proud."

He continues, "She has already earned the respect of foreign leaders and diplomats through her work to promote human rights and the empowerment of women through access to education, healthcare and economic opportunity."

"Leaving the Senate is very difficult [for] me," Hillary says. "Mr. President-elect, I am proud to join you."

  • I hate, loathe and despise this woman and her nomination to be Secretary of State hasn't and probably won't soften my position. She is as hard, tough, rough and ambitious as any man (sometimes I wonder if she's a woman at all ... mabye she's like the "pregnant man") and she has continued to make a mockery of traditional beliefs and values. She's more of a man than many men I know!
The only thing good about her being named to SecState is she won't be on the Supreme
Court to push her support of abortion and therefore, more babies won't be murdered because she won't be there to support abortion, aka baby-killing. She'll have to wait until that day comes --- and I PRAY she's never allowed anywhere near the courts. And I hope she'll be a good SecState. She'll NEVER be as good as Condolleeza Rice though.

  • Hillary is a good choice. She's tough and knows what she is doing, which will make it easier for Obama to concentrate on fixing our economy.

  • Speaking of Hillary Clinton:

There is bad news about her husband.

It is opined that Bill Clinton committed racist hate crimes, and I am not free to say anything further about it.
