On Monday, it was reported that the 35-year-old actor -- who has played Dr. George O'Malley since 2005 -- stormed out of a table reading.
A show rep later denied the report, albeit indirectly, telling Usmagazine.com that Knight "never walked off set in the middle of filming ... and will be shooting this week."

On Tuesday, however, Entertainment Weekly cited sources who claimed that the Emmy-nominated actor wants out of his contract because he is unhappy with his storyline and that creator Shonda Rhimes is ready to let him go.
On Tuesday, an ABC rep told Us, "No comment."
Knight isn't the first actor to express displeasure with his role on the show.
In June, Katherine Heigl pulled out of the Emmy race, saying, "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant a nomination."
