Reactions from Golden Globe Film Nominees

Brad Pitt is up for a Golden Globe for his role in 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.' "I am pleased to be nominated for this award and would like to also congratulate David [Fincher], Eric [Roth] and Alexandre [Desplat] on their nominations. We're all very proud of the film and thankful to the Hollywood Foreign Press for recognizing our work," Brad says of the five nominations from the film.

Angelina Jolie has been nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in Clint Eastwood's film 'The Changeling.' "I am honored to be nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press in a category with so many extraordinary women. What an amazing experience, having the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood on a film I care so deeply about," Jolie says about the nomination.

Comedic film 'Last Chance Harvey' has two Golden Globe nominations including Emma Thompson's nom for Best Actress. "Dustin [Hoffman] and I had the best time making this film. It seems insane to get an award nomination on top of that, but I'm thrilled," Emma says about her and Dustin's nominations.

Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker in this summer's 'Batman' movie 'The Dark Knight' has earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture -- and his family couldn't be prouder. "This nomination is deeply appreciated and is not lost on those of us who continue to love and miss him. We are so proud our boy's work is being recognized in this way," Heath's father, Kim Ledger, said in a family statement. 

'No Country for Old Men' Globe winner Javier Bardem is nominated again, this time for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for Woody Allen's 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona,' and he tells "The Insider," "I am very happy to receive such support from the HFPA and truly thankful to Mr. Allen for allowing me the amazing experience of working with him and such an outstanding cast."

Colin Farrell, whose performance in 'In Bruges' garnered him a Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical nod alongside co-star Brendan Gleeson, tells "The Insider," "I've gotten worse calls in the wee hours of the morning. A lovely surprise at 5:45am. An unexpected guest, yet a welcome one. I'm so happy for Brendan Gleeson as well as the film. I am so glad the film got nominated. This is Martin [McDonagh]'s nomination, because he was and is this film. It was his brilliance that truly brought it to life. All in all, as from the start, I'm really proud to be part of this story and just so pleasantly surprised that The Hollywood Foreign Press carried it with them from March to now. Be nice for it to get a second innings, for some people maybe to find it for the first time."

In addition to Meryl Streep's Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama nod, 'Doubt' co-stars Amy Adams and Viola Davis were thrilled to hear the news of their Supporting Role nods. "I am so honored to be nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for 'Doubt' along with John Patrick Shanley, Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Viola Davis," Amy Adams tells "The Insider." "Helping to bring John's Pulitzer Prize-winning play to the screen was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career." And Viola adds, "I cannot even believe it! I feel so blessed and grateful to the HFPA for honoring my work. It's more than I have ever dreamed. First working with Meryl, Phillip, Amy and John and now THIS!! Thank you! Thank you!"
