Young cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, according to court papers. The papers also reveal they’ve been separated since Nov. 22 of this year, according to ET.
The Private Practice star and Young, a film executive, tied the knot in September 2007 after just a few months of dating.
Walsh’s former Grey’s Anatomy co-stars, including Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley, T.R. Knight, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Justin Chambers and his wife Keisha as well as the show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, were all in attendance at the nuptials.
His proposal to Walsh was discovered by Us reporters who spotted her wearing a Neil Lane engagement ring at a television event. At the time, she told Us, “I’m on cloud nine!”
