Bettie Page, 85, died Thursday at 6:41pm PST in a LA hospital following a heart attack almost a week ago. Page was a widely popular pinup girl in the 50’s and was famous for her nude, often bondage themed photographs. She may have even at one point have been in your grandparent’s spank bank.

“I want to be remembered as I was when I was young and in my golden times,” she told The Los Angeles Times in 2006. “I want to be remembered as a woman who changed people’s perspectives concerning nudity in its natural form.”

The NY Times has a decent history about her if you’re into that stuff. Google has a wealth of Bettie Page pictures as well if you feel that masturbating one more time to her photos is an appropriate way to pay homage to her memory. Don’t worry, I won’t judge. F’n weirdo.
