'Twilight' Sequel 'New Moon' Hires Director
Just in: "The Insider" confirms a director has been hired for 'New Moon,' the sequel to 'Twilight.'

Chris Weitz ('The Golden Compass') has been hired to direct the 'New Moon,' which is based on the second book in author Stephenie Meyer’s mega-popular vampire series.

“Chris very much understands the world of ‘New Moon’ and has the skill set required to bring the book to glorious life as a movie," Summit Entertainment's President of Production Erik Feig  tells us. "We think he will be an excellent steward of Stephenie Meyer's vision.”

Weitz follows in the footsteps of Catherine Hardwicke, who directed 'Twilight.'

  • I think you should have Bella stop blinking and shaking her head so much. I also think you should have her thoughts be heard in the plus. I think it wuold make the movie less akward.

    twilight movie is very bland. i saw a better movie in my head when i read the book.
    Saga rocks. Hardwicke---> not so much.

  • I HAD AN IDEA ABOUT HOW TO INCLUDE EDWARD MORE IN NEW MOON...I THINK HE SHOULD BE SHOWN ON THE SCREEN SAYING WHAT IS IN BELLA'S HEAD AS SHE IS DOING DANGEROUS THINGS TO HEAR HIM...WE COULD ALSO SEE HIM SEARCHING FOR VICTORIA.

  • i hav a suggestion about the sound track. if i remember correctly Edward leaves Bella in New Moon. wen he leaves i think they should play When it Rains by paramore. still cant wait to see the movie Twilight was awsome. good luck.
