"The Insider" has confirmed that Madonna has settled her divorce with director Guy Ritchie in what her rep is calling one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement.

Madonna has given Ritchie between $76 million and $92 million as part of their divorce agreement. This includes the value of their country home in western England.

Though the finances of the divorce have been worked out, the couple is still negotiating custody arrangements for their children.

Madonna's rep Liz Rosenberg says the singer will be spending her holidays in London.

  • It they think it is fair, then it is fair enough to me. I don't have a dog in the race therefore I have no thoughts on the fairness of the divorce settlement.

  • Considering that Guy initially had said he didn't want any money - I think it's fair - as long as she doesn't try to keep him away from the children. She seems to be an evil person and I can see her trying to 'buy' them away from him. I'm sure he can't be bought when it comes to the children.~Mary

  • I thing that their divorce settlement is, or should be private. At the end of the day, no one is really going to know the truth about it. Pleople should mind their own business, and butt out of other peoples affairs !!!!!!

  • Guy deserves one half of whatever money Madonna earned while he was married to her. Just like she would get, if he had been the one with more money. He may be a bit of a cad for taking it, but Madonna probably made him mad with the whole A Rod thing. Besides, I think I would be willing to be thought a cad, for almost 100 million dollars.

  • In my opinion, Madonna mighty enough to pay any ignorant requiring any sum of money. I realize that working in Hollywood machine is hard but the most important thing is her good and happiness. If such agreement brings her freedom it is always worth to give any ex-husband if he has strong guts enough to take such fortune from such a noble woamn as I respect Madonna mainly for her evil ideas expressing her greatest talent! I would never take such money from any woman. I have nobody and clain that having such wife like Madonna is the greatest fortune in his life. If he has daubts, where was his wisdom in the past?
    And one more thing, in modern times women have to pay such sums of money to men they are to divorce to get some peace in her life. A sort of discrimination... The problem is that men wanting to quit anything, shuold have balls and know what to expect from a lady with her position and experience! He is scandalous but I would not say a word to him if I were Madonna but from me he would get a punch and strong blow on his face for rotterism and extremal ignorance that is uneccaptable in the UK Higher Calss! He must know it perfectly but is using his stupid male right to be dishonoured after such strict treatment towards such fromidable lady like Madonna!
    I do not accept such savoir vivre that identifies Mr Ritchie... And wish Madonna all the best in the future. Do not take any stupid male personal to your house and family... Be wise, my dear :-X

  • Considering she offered him quite a sum of money to begin with, if he would "sell" the kids to her, so she could raise them in America.But he has kept them, and taken care of them while she was off, galavanting all over the world, doing her thing. He was able to keep working and still be there for his kids. Obviously he had a nanny, but still, he was the one making sure they were alright and happy, and on their normal routines.

  • Mr Ritchie, saying nothing about other important things, why do you want to leave a woman who makes love and ses so good?
    I also think that Lourdes deserves a good time from time to time on an expensive date or day out and you do not have to take these money from Madonna...
    I simply suggest you to go to hard work instead of pretending a Viuda Negro. You are still young man. and you know what I mean and wanna say about age and time...
    Mr Schwarzenegger told sombady on TV a few years ago that if a man with balls wants money he should work hard and then expect something! SO BE STRONG ENOUGH!
    I am trying to tell you that it is scandalous to take so much money from a woman for a few years of marriage. Just ask her for some goog food in a cheap bar or for a ticket to the cinema or something like that.
    I say so cause I always give women right in such circumstances even if I am chased in secret at the distance for strict words for their ex-husbands:-)
    Men are strange and defending women is a really hard job in this terrible times. I am waiting impatiently for the times when my bizzos will not have to need any help and support against such greedy strangers like you.
    Don't you see that is terribly unkind and it smells? People see it but talk too much about paragraphes of law and so on. I suggest that general culture and true savoir vivre is the best law for good men!
