Kate Beckinsale didn't need prosthetic make-up to look "old and haggard" for
new movie 'Nothing But the Truth'.
The 35-year-old actress donned fake eyebags to show how tired her character
was at the beginning of shooting, but began filming her scenes without them
once her hectic schedule took its toll.
Kate, who plays a reporter trying to reveal the truth about a CIA agent, is
quoted as saying: "They put eye bags and stuff like that on, but it's
embarrassing. I did look like s**t. I had some eye bags and slightly yellowy
skin put on my make up for the prison scenes. But by the end of the movie I
think I had it naturally!"
Kate recently revealed she has developed an understanding of the journalism
industry after working on a US newspaper to prepare for her role in the
thriller.
She said: "We are slightly sort of under the 'us and them' thing. It's a
little like enemy lines - but when I was there I found it was amazingly
similar to acting. It was quite nice to go, 'I kind of get it more than I
thought I would'."
