Will.i.am's High Profile New Year's Eve Gig

Another big name from the world of music is set to perform on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest."

Will.i.am will help ring in 2009 by singing "It's A New Day," says the Associated Press. The Black Eyed Peas singer says his song was inspired by Barack Obama's groundbreaking presidential-election win.

Joining Will.i.am on Clark and Seacrest's TV special are the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift and Lionel Richie.
