Cate Blanchett Speaks on Plastic Surgery

Cate Blanchett offers her views on plastic surgery and Hollywood saying that in the entertainment business "you can become very self-obsessed, but you've got to keep looking outward."

The actress tells Vanity Fair that in terms of cosmetic surgery, "I haven't done anything, but who knows. [My husband] Andrew said he'd divorce me if I did anything."

She continues, "When you've had children, your body changes; there's history to it. I like the evolution of that history; I'm fortunate to be with somebody who likes the evolution of that history. I think it's important to not eradicate it."

Blanchett says that as far as the Hollywood scene goes, acting is the only element she is a part of. "I don't exist in that world. I observe it, but there's so much else to be thinking about … The world of film can be so noisy, but the other aspects of my life are actually the noisiest parts of my life."

Blanchett can be seen in 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' with Brad Pitt. The actress' Vanity Fair cover hits newsstands this week.
