Madonna Keeps Baby David from African Dad
We were surprised to see Madonna show up on American Idol’s charity show Wednesday. While she’s never taken on mentoring duties with the Idol contestants, she did pop in for a pre-recorded message urging viewers to donate.

Madge apparently hasn’t been an Idol fan though – and in 2004, she said:

“I think it’s bad. I don’t like them. I think people are obsessed with other people’s failures or heartaches and I think it gives people a certain kind of a thrill to watch contestants on Idol go down.”

Hey, at least her heart was in the right place for the charity show. Love or hate Idol, the Idol Gives Back fundraiser is a colossally great way to raise money for kids in need. Since Madonna has been looking to
pump herself up, why not put herself in the same league as humanitarian Bono? Idol isn't beneath him when it comes to causes close to his heart.

And speaking of the big-hearted, where was Angelina Jolie? Looks like Madge may have one-upped Angie.
