Old Bahama Bay Reacts to Death of Travolta's Son at The Insider

Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, died suddenly today while on vacation at the Old Bahama Bay Resort on Grand Bahama.

Travolta fell ill at the resort and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Rand Memorial Hospital in Freeport via ambulance.

Following his death, Robert Gidel, president of Ginn Resorts and the owner of the Old Bahama Bay Resort, issued the following statement: "Our thoughts and prayers go out to John Travolta, Kelly Preston and their family on the tragic death of their son Jett. The Travolta family has become like family to us at Old Bahama Bay and we extend our deepest sympathies to them."

Had Jett Travolta been the kid of not so well-to-do parents living in a trailer park, he would have gotten the dirt cheap medication that would have enabled him to lead a more or less normal life, and he would have been alive still.
