Governor Sarah Palin's first grandchild was born last week and she says the whole family is "over the moon with the arrival of this healthy, beautiful baby."

 

The Alaska Governor's daughter Bristol Palin and her fiance, Levi Johnston, welcomed their new son, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, on Dec. 27.

“The road ahead for this young couple will not be easy, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Bristol and Levi are committed to accomplish what millions of other young parents have accomplished, to provide a loving and secure environment for their child," Governor Palin says.

"They are both hard workers, they’re very strong, and have faith they’ve made the right decision in setting aside their own interests to make this child their highest priority.”

  • If you wanted us to lay off the kids, then why did you find it necessary to tell us that the 17 year had the baby? I DON'T CARE THAT PALIN IS A GRANDMOTHER. Everyone should forget that there ever was anyone name Sarah Palin. I know I will.

  • Let´s hope the kids DO make THEIR kid a priority. Sarah Palin didn´t.
    Son number 1, a drop out and in trouble with the law (jail or the miltary was HIS choice), daughter number one a teen mother and a drop out,
    little daughter nmber 3 told Matt Lauer o TV that she missed a ton of school and is findin it ery hard to catch up. This woman , Palin, uses her kids as PROPS.

    this has nothing to do with obama. nothing at all. it's just a fact that no one should give a **** about Palin's grandson. It's shocking that people give a **** about Palin. After all, I didn't hear anything about Dubya's daughters business, and HE'S THE PRESIDENT, let alone a failed VP candidate.

  • The Obamas kids are beautiful and amazing, but you can keep your five dollars. Palin kids are lovely also. I can't see myself attacking kids just because I disagree with their parent's policies.

  • I didn't vote for Gov. Palin because I thought she was not qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. But that doesn't mean I can't wish Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston the best of luck, because they have just taken on the hardest job there is. Being parents.

    • I agree about wishing the happy couple all the best on their new baby boy! And I enjoy so much reading nice stories about Sarah Palin and her family, especially after all the crap that was written about them, if anyone is not interested, just turn the page or turn the TV channel if she's there. I'm very interested in following her progress and in following the progress of her Blessed little Trig.
      If anyone finds me horrible for that, so be it.
