Sarah Palin: 'Over the Moon' About New Grandson

Governor Sarah Palin's first grandchild was born last week and she says the whole family is "over the moon with the arrival of this healthy, beautiful baby."

 

The Alaska Governor's daughter Bristol Palin and her fiance, Levi Johnston, welcomed their new son, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston, on Dec. 27.

“The road ahead for this young couple will not be easy, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Bristol and Levi are committed to accomplish what millions of other young parents have accomplished, to provide a loving and secure environment for their child," Governor Palin says.

"They are both hard workers, they’re very strong, and have faith they’ve made the right decision in setting aside their own interests to make this child their highest priority.”

  • I didn't vote for Gov. Palin because I thought she was not qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. But that doesn't mean I can't wish Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston the best of luck, because they have just taken on the hardest job...

  • The Obamas kids are beautiful and amazing, but you can keep your five dollars. Palin kids are lovely also. I can't see myself attacking kids just because I disagree with their parent's policies.
