'DWTS' Stars Get Engaged

"Dancing with the Stars" performers Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff decided to make it an extra special New Year's Eve by getting engaged.

A source tells "The Insider" the engagement happened as the couple took a break from the "Dancing with the Stars" winter tour, which both are performing in.

The two had been dating for several months and are both due to participate in the eighth season of "Dancing with the Stars," set to debut March 9 on ABC.

  • If all of you peoplefollowed Maksand knew what he said about the (THREE DATES ON THE INSIDER) . He had said yes to their proposal of it BEFORE he was dating Karina. He said that it was just for fun and he was honoring his committment to the show....
