"Dancing with the Stars" performers Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff decided to make it an extra special New Year's Eve by getting engaged.A source tells "The Insider" the engagement happened as the couple took a break from the "Dancing with the Stars" winter tour, which both are performing in.
The two had been dating for several months and are both due to participate in the eighth season of "Dancing with the Stars," set to debut March 9 on ABC.
