PRODUCERS of the Golden Globes telecast were less than pleased Monday night with Maria Menounos' interviews with winners as they walked offstage. A backstage tipster said the producers "were getting antsy" watching Menounos chat with celebs, and one said, "She's just terrible." Another member of the crew responded, "This is who the brass wanted us to hire." Other insiders snickered that Menounos thinks of herself as a celebrity and is more interested in walking the red carpet than in covering it. A rep for Menounos said, "This is not true." Barry Adelman, executive producer of the Golden Globe Awards, said, "We were very pleased to have Maria as a correspondent. She did a great job and was a consummate professional."I remember a couple of years ago when my roommate and I would be hungover on a Saturday afternoon and sitting there sweating booze and eating chips and ET on MTV would come on and this cute but vacant chipmunk would come on our screen in a cami top and my straight roommate would be like hot but shut the up and I'd have to concur.
