Obie Wilchcombe, a confidant of the Travoltas, said, "I haven't spoken to the Travoltas [today], but I have spoken to some of the family and friends who are here with them. "[It's a] very difficult day, obviously, and it's been a difficult time for the Travoltas ever since Friday, and it continues."
When asked about the Travoltas' next move, Wilchcombe said, "I suspect they'll be leaving the island in the next 24 hours."
As for the cremation itself, Wilchcombe says, "The procedure, I think it takes about seven hours, and then there's a cool-down period, so I would think [the remains will be ready] sometime tomorrow morning."
He added, "The Travolta family will make a full statement in another day or so."
