Jennifer Hudson to Sing at the Super Bowl

Jennifer Hudson is set to make her first public performance since her personal family tragedy.

The Academy Award-winner and "American Idol" alum will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in Tampa, FL. on Feb 1, the NFL said in a press release.

More than 148 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year's Super Bowl, the most-watched television program in history.

Hudson hasn't made a public appearance since her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in Chicago last October. Jennifer's estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, has been charged in the killings.

I'm very happy to see that Jennifer is getting out. I couldn't imagine such a horrific life changing event happening. God Bless you Jennifer and I know you will do a wonderful job at the SB!
