"The Insider" brought you the news that a "Gossip Girl" spin-off series focusing on Kelly Rutherford's character Lily van der Woodsen is in the works and now "The Insider" has even more secrets for "Gossip Girl" fans.
Executive producer Josh Schwartz tells "The Insider" that the series is about Lily and her sister Carol, a free-spirited aspiring actress living in the Valley in California.
Many "Gossip Girl" fans are wondering if Lily's relationship with the young Rufus Humphrey (Matthew Settle) will be a storyline in the spin-off. Josh says that Rufus will not appear at the beginning of the series, but if the show get picked up for a few more seasons fans will be able to see the romantic relationship develop.
The spin-off will be introduced through flashbacks in the second to last episode of the current "Gossip Girl" season.
