More than 50 Hollywood celebrities have come together in a video made by Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore and pledged to take positive action in helping the community as well as various organizations, Reuters reports.
Film and TV star Lucy Liu has pledged to help the environment by using public transit when she's in New York, and "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria Parker has sworn off using plastic water bottles.
"There's an assumption that this one man is going to take on his new job full-time and somehow wave a magic wand of change, and I don't believe that to be true," Kutcher tells Reuters. "I think that we have to be the leaders, and that's not celebrities -- I think that we as citizens have to be leaders of the movement that we want to create."
Other celebrities involved in the project include Cameron Diaz, Dakota Fanning, Soleil Moon Frye, Eva Mendes, George Lopez, and Kevin Connolly.
The video will be available on MySpace by Monday Jan 19. the day before the Inauguration.
