Eating Her Heart Out? at The Insider

There is strange and disturbing news coming from Angelinaville. The National Enquirer is reporting that Brad Pitt is worried sick. The cause is Angelina Jolie's refusal to eat. Friends and relatives are afraid that the recent death of her mother,Marcheline Bertrand, has triggered an eating disorder. Jolie has a history of anorexia, according to the NE, and brother John Haven is worried that her recent loss may have pushed her over the edge. Haven's concerns have even reached the point where he reminds his sister to eat. What's worse, the NE has published photos of a skeletal Jolie, who's weight has dropped from 130 lbs., to below 110, with signs of hair loss. The NE's experts, who have not treated Jolie, claim that this may be a sign of protein deficiency, related to here eating disorder.

More Drama?

Wondertrash has another theory on Jolie's recent weight loss. Like most theories, it's completely unsubstantiated, but entirely plausible. There have been rumours of a Brangelina bust up circulating through the grapevine for a while now. A recent issue of InTouch even featured a cover titled "This isn't working". As if to confirm these rumours, Brad hasn't adopted the most recent additions to Jolie's ever growing brood: Zahara and Pax ( then again anyone might have told her that surrounding a man with kids is a poor way to hang on to him). Now she's rapidly losing weight, as Brad coaxes her to eat, in what the National Enquirer calls "a desperate bid to save her life". I can't help thinking that this is just some new zany scheme to hang on to her 'trophy husband'. By playing for sympathy, she puts him in the "You can't leave me this way" position. Harsh words, but with Jolie, who can ever be sure? Besides she can afford to stop eating, now that she's making a meal of Brad Pitt.

Among other things, Jolie is known for her plethora of 'body art'. In fact the 'compulsive' actress on began adopting, after she ran out of available skin for her tattoos. As if one addiction had to replace another. In fact, she's rumoured to have more than 13. Careful Jolie watchers (and there are many of them) will know that one reads Quod Me Nutrit Me Destruit [What nourishes me destroys me]. The anorexics' motto perhaps? Look for it in the picture at the top. It's the one next to the big, black cross.
