Director Spike Lee was at the ball and he explained to "The Insider" that he wasn't there to work, but just to be a part of history.
"I'm not going to really try to think what I'm going to feel," Spike tells ET's Kevin Frazier. "I'm just going to experience -- but I know it's going to be a special feeling. I'm not here working; I just want to be a witness."
Other stars at the Root Ball included Samuel L. Jackson and his daughter, Chris Tucker, and Larry King -- watch the video to hear more of what the celebs had to say about Barack Obama and being a part of history.
