New Details: Why Sen. Edward Kennedy Collapsed

"The Insider" has obtained a statement by the doctor treating Sen. Edward Kennedy -- and he is revealing what the medical reason was behind Kennedy's collapse, and what is next for the senator.

Dr. Edward Aulisi, Chairman of Neurosurgery at Washington Hospital Center, has released this statement:

"Senator Edward Kennedy experienced a seizure today while attending a luncheon for President Barack Obama in the U.S. Capitol. After testing, we believe the incident was brought on by simple fatigue. Senator Kennedy is awake, talking with family and friends, and feeling well. He will remain at the Washington Hospital Center overnight for observation, and will be released in the morning."

  • Whatever the reason Sen. Kennedy had the seziure, we can all pretty much conclude that it is because he is battling a serious illness and he is entitled to his privacy.
