Coroner: Paula Abdul's Fan's Death a Suicide by Drug Overdose

Officials had suspected Goodspeed's death was a suicide, but were waiting for toxicology tests before officially confirming it. Winter also said Goodspeed did not leave a note.

Goodspeed -- who tried out for season 5 of Idol -- was slammed by the judges after singing "Proud Mary." She also admitted she was a huge fan of Abdul, and had made life-size paintings of her.

Abdul -- who said she was "shocked and deeply saddened" by Goodspeed's death -- recently backed down on claims that Idol producers put the obsessed fan on the air after she'd asked them not to.
