Forest Whitaker announced the 2008 Academy Award nominees and ET streamed the event live! This year, Hollywood's hottest couple -- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie -- could walk off with matching Oscars!

 

Nominated for 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' and 'Changeling,' respectively, they are joined by some of the most respected actors in the field, including Mickey Rourke and Kate Winslet. For the full list, see the Oscars website.

'Doubt' swept the acting noms with nods for all four principal stars, Meryl Streep, Viola Davis, Amy Adams and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The film also grabbed a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.

'Milk' also received five nominations; Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Achievement in Costume Design, Best Picture and Best Director for Gus Van Sant.

  • Okay I saw the movie Changeling the acting was medicore and nothing special, but the movie called Doubt has an really powerful performance. So I think, that meryl streep will win this year for her great acting.

  • "Changeling" Is a movie that relates to everyday living.. Every mother fears for their child.. And when you watch this, it just makes you realise no matter who you are, this could happen to you..

  • I think Brad should really take the Oscar/Sag or what ever award is being passed out. If you watched CCOBB You could see why. Those other movies sucked and did not even make 10 mill. Stop robbing Brad. He deserves this award.

  • Angelina and Brad can do no wrong. Both supremely gifted actors and I hope that both take the oscar for their category. If it isn't Brad's turn then it would have to be that magnificent Sean Penn who wins.

  • Slumdog Millionaire has to be Winner........ it is a wonderful movey and depicts how hope lies even in the extreme poverty......... It is a great mix of drama with true life circumtances prevailing in Indian slums.....hats of the mobvie
