Mickey Rourke 'Tickled Pink' About First Oscar Nod

Golden Globe award winner Mickey Rourke tells "The Insider" how it feels to be nominated for the coveted Academy Award for his acting performance in 'The Wrestler.'


"I’m very grateful and appreciative of this incredible honor," Rourke says. "I’m tickled pink."

Rourke is nominated for his highly-acclaimed career comeback role playing Randy "The Ram" Robinson in Darren Aronofsky's 'The Wrestler.' This is the actor's first Academy Award nomination.   He won the Best Actor Golden Globe award for the same role earlier this month.

  • I'm happy MIckey Rourke has made a come-back; he's had a hard time of it and he's come out better for it. But I hope and pray he sees fit to invest in a comb, shampoo and a bar of soap. He might do well to see a stylist so he comes to the Academy...
