Aaliyah Movie Gets Personal… at The Insider

New info has been released on the upcoming Aaliyah Movie:

It has been reported that Warner Brother Films will be creating the motion picture of the late singer and actress Aaliyah who died in a plane crash in 2001. Aaliyah sold more than 32 million albums worldwide before her career was cut short. The film will be a biopic of the singers life. Bill Condon, director of “DreamGirls” will be directing the film.

“We are going to great extremities to make this movie perfect. We have Chante in extensive training studying, speaking with family members, watching personal footage and in choreography training with Aaliyah’s choreographer and dear friend Fatima Robinson. This movie will be seamless the same way it was for Selena fans who enjoyed Jennifer Lopez. I can promise Aaliyah fans that this movie will be ten notches higher.”

A source for the film reveals that they “will be going very deep into Aaliyah’s life” and will allow fans to see the “most intimate side of Aaliyah’s legacy.” Sources say the script for the film ‘holds no bars’ and will go as far as touching on the subject of Aaliyah’s highly debated and publicized marriage and annulment to producer R.Kelly.

It has also been confirmed Aaliyah’s colleagues will be featured in the film. Her choreographer Fatima Robinson, Producer and friends, Timbaland, Missy Elliot, Ginuwine, even world renowed music video director Hype Williams will be apart of the film and help re-create the “Rock The Boat” video set which was the last video Aaliyah ever shot. The movie is tentative to start production end of March and is rumored to have a production budget of over 80 million dollars.

Hmm, this will be a must see on my list. Aaliyah was a very private person so it will be interesting to see the behind the scenes of what her life was really like. Check out some photos of the late singer below

FALSE: if this movie is happening Bill Condon is not directing it. Jim Morressey a friend has stated he has not been approached to do such a project and any quotes claiming to be him are false as well. He's gonna get a good laugh about this. Oh and read the disclamer that tells you all you need to know right there.

ooohh they're skiddin on thin ice with Keisha rite now. I mean, Keisha only looks like Aaliyah with her hair over her face, but thats the same with everyone kinda. I watched the interview with her and she kinda moves and talks like her a little. But they could do better, maybe she'll surprise us in the movie. Personally, they should of picked Ashanti or that Destiny Lightsy girl to play Aaliyah, cuz not to hate or nethin but Keisha got a Canadian accent n itd be twice as hard for her to pick up the accent and voice of Aaliyah. RIP Babygurl love you

- ashanti, really, really, have you seen her dance, yeah i don't think so, whomever gets this role can lip sync the songs but dancing you cannot fake so it has to be someone who can move cause aaliyah was a damn good dancer and as for the destiny chick, she look nothing like aaliyah but she can dance but still they need to find someone, who has the look and can dance and act cause as i said they can lip sync the songs

i am soo happy that they are coming out with an aaliyah movie i love her and miss her im soo upset that i never got the chance to meet her it really breaks my heart honestly ............i hope that this chante singer does good because i was upset with how the notorious movie went and i hope this does tremendously better like selena selenas was very good. =] im not one to pay for movies in the movie theathers but im ready to pay for this and watch this.... =]

I am a HUGE fan of aaliyah and i can't wait to see this movie!!!I hope everyones putting 100% into it to make it the best movie of the freakin century!!!!Keyshia Chante betta not disappoint either...i hope she does a great job!!
