Oh, is this the new hot celebrity trend? Picking fights with other celebrities over MySpace? Why are Haylie and Kim doing it then? They're not celebrities.
Here's the gist (culled from these two mindless es' on-line exchanges): Haylie and Kim discuss a time when they were hanging out together until Kim called Haylie a stupid . Haylie, instead of retaliating, tries to make nice with Kim, and Kim seems to accept the olive-branch, explaining that Paris Hilton told her to call Haylie the bad name, but saying, "I was desperate for attention but I've finally ditched her and I'm becoming my own person" (in other words, Paris didn't want to be her friend anymore). Then Kim cheerfully invites Haylie to go to Les Deux to see DJ AM. Haylie, thinking everything is smoothed over, says, "I'd love to see AM Spin. What time?" To which Kim replies, "Yeah [typo] I forgot I don't hang out with horses plus I'm busy. ."
This all prompted the following response from Haylie on her MySpace blog:
Stuff like this REALLY ES ME OFF. I try to reach out and be nice and instead it just gets shoved back in my face. This is why you should never move to Hollywood, the place is full of arrogant, immature, and offensive es who can't hold their liquor and can't keep their legs closed.
Why are you being so critical of your sister Hilary there Haylie? Oh, you mean Kim. Sorry. Got confused.
Anyway, the upshot of all this is that MySpace is essentially a blight on humanity (and yes, I know Crabbie has a MySpace page). It used to be a nice little way for people to get together, but now it's been taken over by celebs and quasi-celebs and turned into yet another vehicle for garnering attention. Honestly, isn' bad enough that these people are on TV all the time, thanks to dreadful programs like Entertainment Tonight, and whole networks like E! and MTV? Why does MySpace also have to become nothing but another means for these holes to propagate their bull? I think we need to get together and start a new social networking site, and establish one important rule - if you've ever been featured in People magazine for any reason, you can't join. Unless your name is Brad Pitt, Jake Gyllenhaal or Matthew McConaughey. Then you're in.
