The online virginity auction has caught the ire of some religious groups who said Dylan might poison the minds of people outside the state. Liberty Center for Law and Policy director Mathew Staver said the authorities can cite federal laws to stop the auction since the bidding is being done online. He said federal prosecutors should look into this and not allow Nevada to dictate the nation's moral decency. Despite the criticism nobody seems to want to touch Dylan with a ten-foot pole. Federal authorities said local laws should take care of it. FBI Las Vegas spokesman David Staretz said it is in the hands of the local police authorities since Dylan is an adult and the act is consensual.
