Miffed because the other three judges didn't ask her what she thought of 19-year-old contestant Julissa Veloz, Abdul walked out of an audition in Jacksonville, Fla.
Simon Cowell and new judge Kara DioGuardi had just offered their critiques when Abdul interrupted, "OK, I guess my opinion doesn't matter. It's so funny because there's four judges... sometimes we forget there's a fourth opinion in this room!" She then walked off.

The contestant then followed Abdul and begged her to come back out.
"I can't do this, Julissa!" Abdul was overheard complaining.
The contestant then tried reassuring Abdul: "It's OK, you've been doing this for eight seasons..."

After some prodding, Abdul returned and voted "yes" on sending Julissa to Hollywood.
The judges later suggested Abdul's stunt was all in good fun.
When it came time for DioGuardi to vote, she said "yes" to Julissa.
The reason? "She brought Paula back!"
