Stephanie Meyer Won’t Finish Twilight Series Due To Leak

A: Boo hoo hoo, Stephanie Meyer is giving us all some good ol’ fashioned Mormon guilt on our naughty Internet leak of her new transcript for the much anticipated Twilight follow up, Midnight Sun. Someone posted the unfinished draft online and now we will never be able to re-read Twilight from Edward’s perspective, which was an asinine idea anyways!

“I feel too sad about what has happened to continue working on ‘Midnight Sun,’ so it is on hold indefinitely,” Meyer wrote on her Web site, stepheniemeyer.com. However, she posted the incomplete draft on her own site, reasoning, “I’d rather my fans not read this version … the writing is messy and flawed and full of mistakes. But how do I comment on this violation without driving more people to look for the illegal posting?”

Her reps say Stephanie is currently working on another story that’s not Twilight related because she’s desperate to prove she’s not just another children’s writer.

  • AmandaT19 I got to admit that i'm really sad that Stephenie Meyer isn't going to finish Midnight Sun. I fell inlove with Edward when reading the twilight sega...and i would love to hear the story from his side. The person that leaked the transcript should be arrested!!! like come on... you had no right to put the transcript up on the internet! It is not your writing therefor it is not your right to release it to the public! But i understand Stephenie's frustration...it's her story to tell...So i will wait indefinitely until Stephenie feels it's time to tell Edward's story...
