Nick Lachey Comments on Jessica Simpson at The Insider

Nick Lachey is speaking out on the controversy surrounding his ex-wife Jessica Simpson's weight.

"I think it's ridiculous that people are making such a big deal about it," Nick told "The Insider" on Friday night at the Super Skins Celebrity Golf Classic party in Tampa, Florida.

"As I said earlier I wish her nothing but the best," Nick continued, and offered words of support for his ex. "I hope she doesn't get down on this because it's not worth it."

Photos surfaced earlier this week picturing Jessica looking curvier than usual. Jessica and Nick married in 2002, starred in an MTV reality show, "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica," and later divorced in 2006.
