Detroit Piston Allen Iverson prefers cash to credit cards
In Minneapolis last week to play the Timberwolves, Iverson visited the Canterbury Park Racetrack & Card Club in nearby Shakopee, Minn., with a posse of seven, including teammate Rasheed Wallace. According to PokerNews.com, Iverson went to a three-card poker table and pulled out a wad of cash “big enough to choke the proverbial horse and said to be worth about $50,000.” But he’s better at basketball than poker and lost most of his money.
