Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift to Perform a Duet for Grammys
Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift are set to perform a duet for the Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 8, 2009, according to Contact Music. Oh joy! Apparently the duo are going to sing Taylor’s song “15,” a song she wrote while in high school. Taylor explained:

“We were trying to figure out different things that could be cool… I wanted to play one of my songs, 15, and we were thinking about it.

We all kinda came to the consensus, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool if Miley was up there and we were singing together?’ And she said yes and we’re real excited about it.”

Miley said:

“If you listen to the song, the lyrics are very inspiring… I think this song is very much, kind of, giving our advice and showing how powerful you can be if you have, like, a good friend… This song is pretty perfect for the Grammys.”

The young singers both share something in common as both of them had dated a boy from the Jonas Brothers and were dumped by them. I guess it makes sense why they’d want to perform together then. Taylor said:

“We’ve known each other for a while… We’ve completely been there for each other.”

Must’ve been devastating…
