Hillary Duff Disses Faye Dunway Over Bonnie & Clyde Remake at The Insider

Hillary Duff's catfight feud with movie legend Faye Dunway has taken a nasty turn in round two. The former Disney star reacted to Faye Dunway's response to her being cast in the Bonnie and Clyde remake by taking a jab at 60 something year-old Faye Dunway. Ouch, lil Miss Hillary is a mean girl! 21 year-old Hillary Duff is not the nice girl everyone thought she was supposed to be. Hillary Duff's first major adult role as a Britney Spears type pop diva was a boxoffice bomb in War Inc.

While the remake of the 1967 film, Bonnie and Clyde was just announced, it looks like there's a battle brewing between the old and the new.

Responding to the casting of Hilary Duff to reprise Faye Dunaway's role as the original Bonnie, the Hollywood Legend's alleged response was, "couldn't they at least cast a real actress?"

According to E Online on Wednesday, the War Inc. actress is responding to Dunaway's diss, "I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is." Duff went on to say, "I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now, too."

Former Disney teen Hilary Duff is set to play the role of Bonnie in a remake of the classic "Bonnie and Clyde" -- and original bad girl Faye Dunaway is not happy about her successor!

Dunaway, who portrayed the bank robber in the 1967 original, was reportedly miffed when she heard that Duff had landed the role -- reportedly saying, "Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?"

When Duff heard what Dunaway said about her, the claws came out -- and she suggested that Faye's days in the spotlight were up! "I think that my fans that are going to see the movie don't even know who she is," Hilary told E! News, "So you know, I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now too." Mrrrrrrrrrrrow!

"The Story of Bonnie and Clyde" is scheduled to be released in 2010, plenty of time for this feud to play out!

Wow. Considering that Dunaway's version of Bonnie and Clyde is a classic, Duff has some nerve calling out a respected actress like that. The original Bonnie wasn't exactly wrong with her remarks. Duff is a singer/actress whose claim to acting fame is Disney's Lizzie McGuire.

I'm not saying Duff isn't right about Dunaway's looks but comparing a 68-year-old to a a 21-year-old is hardly fair. Hilary, didn't your parents ever teach you to respect your elders? source source
