Tracey Edmonds clarifies Eddie Murphy's earlier paternity remarks

In the latest chapter of the ongoing saga surrounding 2-month-old Angel Iris Brown, purported baby-daddy Eddie Murphy's current girlfriend Tracey Edmonds has spoken out in his defense, arguing that his initial comments regarding paternity were taken out of context. When Eddie gave an interview on Dutch television in December and said -- in response to questions about whether he was excited to have a baby with former e Girl Melanie Brown -- that he did not know "whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test," he was not implying that he was not the baby's father, according to Tracey...only that there were other candidates. 

The press went crazy and said Eddie Murphy says the baby's not mine.  But he never said that.  He just said, 'I want a paternity test.'

Since Angel was born April 3, Melanie has insinuated that the issue of paternity will be litigated -- although the case has not been introduced in court as of yet -- as well as that Eddie has thus far refused to submit to a DNA test.  Angel is the second child for Melanie, who also has 8-year-old daughter Phoenix Chi.
