Report: Jessica Simpson Concert a 'Train Wreck'

Jessica Simpson opened for Rascal Flatts in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Thursday night, and one reporter is calling her performance a 'train wreck.'

John Gonzalez of the Grands Rapids Press told Grand Rapids NBC affiliate station WOOD TV 8 of the concert, which he attended, "It was one of those trainwrecks that you went, 'Oh no, I know where this is going and it's not good.'"

Gonzalez said, "She forgot her lyrics during a couple of the songs including one of her minor hit singles. … She just appeared to be kind of losing it as the show went on -- just struggling."

The reporter said that the crowd was polite: "They applauded mildly -- they didn’t boo her, which I was almost surprised that didn’t happen."

According to other reports, Simpson even got teary at one point during the set.
