Reporter: Jessica Simpson Had a 'Very Bad Night'

A reporter on the floor at Jessica Simpson’s concert Thursday night tells ET what he thought of the curvy singer’s performance -- and her physical appearance. Click the picture to listen!

John Gonzalez of the Grands Rapids Press tells ET he thinks Simpson struggled with her lyrics and her breath during her opening set for Rascal Flatts.

“It came to a point by the end of the night where she clearly was pretty emotional and overwhelmed by whatever was going on,” Gonzelez tells us.

The reporter adds, though, that he thinks Simpson “looked great. She was wearing short shorts, a black t-shirt, cowboy boots.”

Earlier today, Simpson’s rep spoke out to ET about her performance, calling it an “off night.”

  • I think Jessica Simpson should be a lot more professional. if she is going through issues, dont do a performance at all. she is a b or c singer, so she needs a lot of help!
