Chris Brown and his girlfriend Rihanna were both scheduled to perform at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, but both ended up canceling in light of the troubled times. A statement released by the Grammy execs said:
“We have just been informed that Rihanna will not be attending tonight’s 51st Annual Grammy Awards. We’re sorry she is unable to join us this evening.”
However, there was no mention about Chris Brown’s “no-show.”
Rihanna’s rep told People.com:
“Rihanna is well. Thank you for concern and support.”
While Chris Brown’s rep didn’t return any requests for comment.
The woman involved in the dispute has not yet been identified by police, but it sounds like it’s Rihanna that was beaten up. Yikes! If he did beat her, let’s hope this is a deal breaker for her and she’ll dump his sorry ass. And even if it wasn’t her, he has allegedly beaten up someone so that’s bad enough! UPDATE: Chris Brown has been arrested and charged with one felony count, according to Celebuzz. Bail has been set at $50,000.
