For every fallen Idol (ahem, Jessica Sierra), there’s another success story. This time, it’s first season finalist Tamyra Gray, who landed a primo role in the Broadway musical Rent. Although not all Idol contestants go on to bigger gigs, it should give this year’s crop hope that there’s life beyond the world’s biggest talent show.
