Olivia Newton-John on daughter Chloe's eating disorder

Olivia Newton-John and her daughter Chloe, 21, recently opened up during an interview with Entertainment Tonight about Chloe's battle with an eating disorder. Chloe told Entertainment Tonight,

I felt like I hit rock bottom. For two years of my life I went through it, and I've come out of it now.

Chloe also weighed in on tabloid rumors, saying,

I know, no matter what I say, people are always going to have their opinion. If I say I'm over it, they'll be like, 'Oh, she's skinny, so she can't be.' It has nothing to do with food. It's like any coping mechanism. I mean, some people choose alcohol, some people choose drugs, some people choose food, some people choose to overeat.

Chloe explained that music is what helped her get through that rough time in her life.

My album, my writing, that's what I turn to; that's what got me through. I mean, I used every ounce of pain and every life lesson. I think why I took so long to make a record is because I wanted to actually have something to say that people could connect with. So everything I've gone through has been worth it, because I have a piece of work now that I'm like, 'Wow. This really came from somewhere authentic in me.

Chloe's current album is called No Pain, and the single from that album, called 'Delicious,' can be heard on her Myspace page.
