Meryl Streep's daughter Mamie Gummer on acting and Mother's Day plans
Come June 29, audiences will be able to catch Meryl Streep and her daughter, aspiring actress Mamie Gummer (real name - Mary) in the feature film Evening, in which they portray the elder and younger versions of the same character. This isn't the first time they've shared the screen together - Mamie was 18 months old when she appeared as Meryl's daughter in Heartburn. But this time, she's actually acting and the 23-year-old brushes off comparisons to her Oscar-winning mother.

I'm just trying to do my thing and differentiate myself.

While Mamie is taking after her mother, she jokes that none of her siblings, David, 27, a musician, Grace, 21, and Louisa, 15, both students, are following in her father Don Gummer's famed sculpting footsteps.

My poor dad. My youngest sister does have an eye for aesthetics and a skilled hand. She is very interested in fashion and design.

As for how they will celebrate Mother's Day this weekend, the four will keep it simple, as they have always done.

Usually, it's cooking breakfast. And just normal stuff, like a picture frame.
