Aniston Adopting?

No no no no no!

The British magazine Grazia is reporting that Jennifer Aniston wants to adopt a baby and has told her lawyers to get the process started.

Last year’s Aniston-Pitt split was largely focused on the sex appeal of a certain Maddox’s mother, yet readers may remember a second story simmering beneath the steamy surface: that the split was due at least in part to Jen’s reluctance to have kids.

Losing your man to Angelina Jolie has got to be a blow to one’s womanhood. But losing your man because you’re not sure you want to be a mom? There’s just no bigger blow to womanhood than that.

Which is why this whole adoption thing seems so desperate. Which is why we’re really hoping it’s just not true.

First of all, Jen’s over the tough stuff. With so much attention paid to the Jolie-Pitt worldwide adoption jaunt, Jen’s safely off the radar for a while.

Second of all, the Jolie-Pitt adoption jaunt faced criticisms of its own. Surely Jen would take a cue from that.

And lastly, we always thought of Jen as a trendsetter, not a copycat. Remember The Rachel?

Get a kid if you really want to, Jen. But wouldn’t it just be easier to get a haircut?
