You could probably file the singer in this week's mashup in the "where are they now file" - but back in the mid-80's, Suzanne Vega was a breathy, folky female singer who scored a few modest hits. Her best known track was 'Tom's Diner,' her stream-of-consciousness observations of eatery dwellers (fun fact: the real NYC diner is the exterior shot used on 'Seinfeld'). Her original acapella was turned into a dance hit by UK mixers DNA in 1990, and it's still a club fave. On the other hand, 'Din Daa Daa' was the #1 1984 club smash from Germany's George Kranz. When electro-blended by Mad Mix Mustang (the beats are Benny Benassi remixing Public Enemy), it makes for a freshly served 2K's treat.
