A: Is it slimey to pay for a picture of a battered woman? We wouldn’t do it..but we don’t really have $62,000 lying around for those type of pics. Only porn and clothes. You know who does have that type of money? Harvey Levine and he’s skilled in paying relatives of police officers and covering his tracks. Our friends started pointing the finger and now the police have launched a full on investigation. Watch out for that probe Harvey!

Of course Harvey’s been doing the rounds and denying he paid.

Harvey Levin insists the photo of a bruised Rihanna that his website published last night was “represented” as totally legit when they secured it — that is, it wasn’t stolen from the LAPD.

Guess those guys at the station got a real case on their hands!

Sources state TMZ pays a relative or friend of the snitch within 24 hours of receipt of a photo to cover their tracks. TMZ has been in the business of paying high dollar amounts for coveted pix.
