Elton John and Other Stars Party for a Cause

"The Insider" has all the action at the star studded Elton John Oscar party and not only is this one of the most popular events; it's also a party that's for a very important cause!

 

We caught up with Kiefer Sutherland, Eva La Rue, Chris O'Donnell, Dr.Drew Pinsky, and more stars as they spoke out about the special night and the the importance of the party and their admiration for the host of the evening.

"Year in and year out if you're not going to Kodak theater party then it's either Vanity Fair or Elton John," Eva La Rue tells "The Insider". "And to me, it's Elton John because this is a party with a heart. This is the party that's actually trying to find a cure for AIDS. So you feel like you're doing good by being here and you're getting to star sight at the same time."

This year's party marks the 17th Annual Academy Awards event put on by the legendary singer. Although the party celebrates the Oscars, the proceeds benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

John's foundation was established in 1992 and funds programs for HIV/AIDS prevention as well as helping individuals living with the virus.

  • One way to cut down on HIV/AIDS is to keep your thing in your pants until you know the person well and have confidence or test to prove they are free of this still difficult to treat disease.

    Then if you are going to do it, please be safe about...
