Gaming Buzz: Damnationa, Lost Planet 2, Nintendo DSi, Street Fighter’s big sales

The boys at Kotaku have a review of Damnation. Doesn’t sound too bad. It’s due out for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on March 3, 2009.

Street Fighter IV sold more than 2 million units in the first week.

Funcom, the developer of Age of Conan, lost $23.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2008, forcing Chief Financial Officer Olav Sandnes to resign. Industry analysts blame the lose on Age of Conan, whose subscriber base may have fallen as low as 100,000.

The Wii gets some Cars tunes for Rock Band - behind Playstation and Xbox, which got them last year. Here’s the list:

“Good Times Roll”
“My Best Friend’s Girl”
“I’m in Touch With Your World”
“Don’t Cha Stop”
“You’re All I’ve Got Tonight”
“Bye Bye Love”
“Moving in Stereo”
“All Mixed Up”

Capcom revealed details on Lost Planet 2. It moves from the snow to a jungle setting for one thing, and will run on an upgraded version of MT-Framework, like Resident Evil 5, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, and Devil May Cry 4. No platform announcements, but Xbox is a for sure.

Finally, Nintendo DSi has put out a couple of trailers. Are we excited - sure - but how’s this gonna make my game cooler isn’t high on their list of things.
