"We started talking about it and figuring out when and where we're going to have it," she tells Us. "But there's so many family members that have a say that we got to try to make sure that everyone will be happy. But we think it will be sometime before the end of this year. So, not so long."

"She did. But I followed quickly after," added Chmerkovskiy, who popped the question on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas.

Chmerkovskiy will dance with Denise Richards.

"She hasn't said a complaint and stays on the floor for like six hours straight," he tells Us.

Their first dance will be "the Cha Cha."

Smirnoff is paired with Apple co-founder Steve Woziak.

"He's a little out of his element but has the biggest personality you'll ever meet," she says. "He's super funny and super charming."

"I never expected him to be on the show because he's a very private person," she adds. "To have him come out and do something completely different from the computer world was a surprise."
