'The Insider' Takes the Mask Off the 'Watchmen' Premiere

"The Insider" was at the Los Angeles premiere of 'Watchmen' Monday night -- where we talked to the stars of the superhero mystery adventure that asks the question: If the heroes watch over society, who watches over them?

"Most studio produced movies based on comic books fulfill a very recognizable expectation,"  Billy Crudup tells "The Insider". "It's nice to discover something that is so interested in telling a different version of the story, so I just wanted to be a part of that."

Zack Snyder ('300,' 'Dawn of the Dead') brings Watchmen' to life in a big-screen adaptation of the critically-acclaimed graphic novel.

In theaters March 6, 'Watchmen' takes place in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society. The plot of the film is set in motion when one of their own, The Comedian, is murdered. Soon a conspiracy to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes comes to light. Will it have devastating effects on the future of mankind?
